PRANA Yoga Mat Optimization

Designed and implemented a flexible visual guidance system for PRANA Yoga to help incoming students quickly and consistently place yoga mats regardless of class orientation. The solution addressed a recurring operational challenge where teaching layouts frequently changed based on class type, rendering fixed floor markings ineffective.

Developed a modular system using daisy-chained LED strips mounted along two studio walls to generate a configurable grid indicating mat placement. Integrated an Arduino-based controller with an IR remote interface, allowing instructors to dynamically switch grid orientation and spacing in real time. Designed the system to operate with a dedicated power supply and discrete wall-mounted control enclosure for safe, reliable operation in a public studio environment.

The final installation provided clear visual cues without permanently altering the studio floor, improving class flow, setup time, and consistency while maintaining flexibility for different teaching styles. The system was successfully deployed and used during regular studio operations.
