Parking Pass Tracker

A Duke laboratory that is located off campus was having trouble keeping track of their parking passes. Since they were located off campus, they needed several parking passes for the days they had to commute to campus, and keeping track of who had which pass for how long became tedious. The team created a lock box that used a firebase database to keep track of which pass had been taken by who. The lockbox was activated via a mobile app, where users could sign in and check out passes. After a pass was checked out a signal was sent over wifi to the box which would unlock. The database kept track of who had which pass for how long, and would send reminders to the holders to return the passes on time.
